Termites often cause serious damage long before they are discovered, because they stay hidden in soil and wood and actively avoid light. Subterranean termites, the kind most common in North Texas, live in underground colonies and reach the wood in a home through mud tubes.

What is a WDI report?
A Wood Destroying Insect report records whether an inspector found visible evidence of termites or other wood destroying insects at a property. It is commonly requested during a home sale.
Are these termites or flying ants?
Termite swarmers have straight antennae, a thick waist and two pairs of wings that are the same length. Flying ants have bent antennae, a pinched waist and front wings that are longer than the back wings. If you are not sure, call us and we will take a look.
